Warm & muggy today with another round of afternoon and early evening thundershowers in Monument. Warmer, drier weather is back in the forecast later this week.
TODAY: Quiet start to the day...thundershowers expected this afternoon. Some heavy rain will be possible with storms today in spots. Chances for storms are 60%+ over the mountains. 50-60% in Monument.
TONIGHT: Partial clearing of the skies. Temps dropping into the 50's and lower 60's.
TUESDAY: Warm with more storms again. In fact the forecast for tomorrow sounds like a carbon copy of today's weather. Temps back into the 80's with afternoon and early evening thundershowers likely.
WEDNESDAY: Warmer, drier weather will start returning to eastern Colorado. Temps Wednesday will be about 1-3 degrees warmer than Monday and Tuesday. Chances of storms will be a little lower...about 30-40% around the Pikes Peak region.
THURSDAY: Hotter, more sunshine and mostly dry. Temps will be in the upper 80's over the Palmer Divide! 10% chance of storms over the mountains.
FRIDAY: Another day of hotter than average temps and dry skies. Mostly sunny again and temps right around the highs we'll expect for Thursday.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY: Weekend forecast includes more very hot weather with temps in the upper 80's. There will be some moisture starting to push back into the state so we should expect about a 20% chance of afternoon storms along the Front Range.
