A Republican candidate for Congress in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, Bob McConnell, has joined a national movement to overturn the Health Care Overhaul bill passed by Congress. Called ObamaCare by opponents, the movement, DeFundIt.org, has signed pledges from almost 150 candidates nationwide who vow to overturn the newly passed legislation.

McConnell is running for the seat that includes Pueblo, currently held by Democrat John Salazar, who voted for the Health Care Plan.

Alex Cortes, chairman of DeFundIt.org, said, "By signing our pledge, McConnell has taken a leadership position in calling for the de-funding of ObamaCare as the first necessary step to fully repealing and replacing this unconstitutional, job-killing, fiscal train wreck. Americans and Coloradans would have a friend in Congress with a principled veteran and community leader like Bob."
